I know that technically every Duke applicant is considered for the Robertson Scholarship, but does anyone know how many people actually submit the supplemental essays and recommendations? Those will be the most interested people and it will give us a better indication of our chances...

bump…

you could email them and find out, I suppose.

My impression is that about 1,600 people submit the supplement every year – those people may have applied to Duke, to UNC Chapel Hill, or both.

oh cool. where’d you find it out?

ThoughtProvoking, you’re off by an order of magnitude.

@cameroncrazy
In which direction? (:

Up. I’ve heard the number 16,000 thrown around (that’s only for Duke, not including UNC).

Oh wow, honestly?
That is a ton of applicants for Robertson… dang.

wow 16000 out of 25000 write 2 extra essays and get 2 extra recs? thats crazy…

Does anyone know if Duke has ever given any robertson scholarships to accepted early decision students?

^it’s very possible.

From actually what I heard lately…1600 fill out the Robertsons Supplement and 16000 are considered extra by the colleges.
