I got it, too!! I didn't even apply for it, either!! WOWWWW!!!!!!!!

What time did you all receive the email? I know I didn't get it, but I'm still curious.

My S rec'd the email this evening as well. He is very happy (as are we at the potential prospect of saving $140K). Good luck to all.

got the email!!! I applied to UNC and Duke but never applied for the Robertson program

only problem is that Im supposed to be in Mexico during the Finalists interviews....gonna be doing some flight rearranging tomorrow

wow this was completely unexpected.....

A big congratulations to those who were nominated!

I got the email, too!! Holy crap!!! I gave up hope at 5:30!

This may seem redundant...Would you only get the e-mail if you have been accepted to either Duke or UNC yet?

I'm not sure. In the email there was a part that reads, "Your selection as a semi-finalist for the Robertson Scholars Program means, of course, that you have been accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill, provided that you maintain high standards of academic performance and personal behavior." So I'm not sure exactly how to read into that. I had applied EA and was accepted back in January.

yah i think it means that we're accepted unless for some reason our grades drop ridiculously or we get in some other sort of trouble that would cause our acceptance to be rescinded

i got my email at 730 last night...i definetely was not expecting to hear back from unc until april

is anyone out there a current Robertson?

We went through this process last year with our daughter who was up for, and was eventually awarded the Robertson at UNC. What a rollercoaster ride for all of us. Believe me, the scholarship and all its opportunities has just been fabulous. Good luck to all of you.

My son is semi-finalist for the Robertson at UNC. If he passes the phone interview and becomes a finalist, I know that he will interview at UNC. Is this an all or nothing interview? Does he either get a full ride to UNC or nothing?
He was admitted EA, but has not been invited to a UNC scholarship weekend.
Thanks for any info. We are OOS, so the tuition will be steep.

I hate to say this, but from a Robertson point of view, I think it is all or nothing.
I have heard of people being offered academic scholarship awards though from UNC without being invited to Scholarship Day.
Best of luck.
