Robotics Grad Schools Decisions Help

I need help deciding on grad schools to attend.

I'm down to deciding on going to a grad school at 3 places. I want to do research in robotics but I'm trying to think about big picture.

I am down to deciding on UPenn and Cornell. I can literally do robotics research at both places.

However, a Stanford professor wants me to join his research group, but in MEMS, not quite robotics, but possible applications in robotics.

Now if I want to do robotics research for my Ph.D., should I choose UPenn or Cornell? What's better in robotics? Or should I choose Stanford even though the research isn't quite what I'm looking for just because Stanford engineering is a caliber better than UPenn and Cornell?

I want to be a professor in robotics, work in a lab, or start my own company in the future with my Ph.D. What schools will help me the best to do this in robotics?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Stanford.

You can always prove yourself at Stanford and work with top-notch robotics faculty in the MechE department.

Also, since you are considering entrepreneurship, Stanford has really good connections with industries.

My second choice would be UPenn MechE. However, nothing beats Stanford.

Congratulations and all the best!

How are you still deciding? I though admitted students had to decide by around mid-April. Is this not the case?

I haven’t quite accepted anything yet which is why I’m still deciding. I have an external fellowship and am negotiating my way into the best school I can get into. Needless to say, I need to pick a school quickly since school is right around the corner.
