It’s the exact same size as the information block in the upper left corner.
My daughter received her email at 4:30 in the afternoon the day she received her acceptance by regular mail, last Monday.
^^ Same here as VMT.
Ohhhh boy the hype.
note-im on step 3 and i have that blank space, so i doubt it means anything…
After getting to step 4, how long it normally takes to post the decision or mail the decision?
Like @jamesjunkers, I am on step 3 and have that blank space, so it probably doesn’t mean anything. The people who heard back got a PDF pop-up of some sort when they logged on to MyRoc, not something on the top right corner.
@hanssi7941 - It might be somewhat random. We don’t really know. It seems that decisions are coming in batches, and only one batch has come out so far–last Monday. That is why we are expecting a second batch to come out today.
Our mail has already come, and nothing. Such a bummer.
The next batch will probably be next week then. Can’t read that many applications in one week.
Does anyone know when they send out financial aid packets?
I have a huge blank spot in the upper right-hand corner of my My ROC account as well. I’m on step 4 though, but I don’t know for how long I’ve been there because I checked it for the first time last week since January or so.
I just got step 4 last week
My decision didn’t come in the mail today. I hope that I get an email soon!
I moved to Step 4 today!!! (I applied right before the deadline)
same here. just moved to step 4 today. I wonder how long that’s gonna take.
Still step 3…
@lavalamp97, step 3 is for da cool kidz
I have to say I am not sure what U of R gains in the longer run by sending out acceptances in batches. My S has been on step 4 for 2-3 weeks. He is quite strong in many areas (unweighted 4.0, numerous APs, 2360 SAT, great ECs and recs, etc), and not having heard yet seems so random. My other 2 kids went to Ivies and there was less suspense, lol. He really likes U of R so I guess we will just have to wait like everyone else. Good luck to all!
On the merit scholarship front, I got an email today telling me to check my portal - I received a 19k-per-year Dean’s Scholarship.
Same here. Son offered Deans scholarship, only he was offered $18k/year. Nice but still leaves Rochester mighty expensive. Will wait to see if any additional aid is offered but not optimistic. Keeping an open mins tho.
