Ive kinda been in a dilemma for a while and I do not know what to do about this as it is a very tense time…deciding where to go!
Rochester, PSU and Bates are my top 3 colleges. I havent heard from them regarding financial aid, but still I would like to hear some negatives or positive about the aforementioned institutions.
I plan to do something related to business, politics, international relations, economics etc. At PSU i got into their Smeal College of Business which is ranked pretty highly, but at the same time Rochester is ranked higher overall than PSU and then Bates is one of the best liberal arts colleges in the US. I do not know what is better and where will I benefit more in the long run.
Any comments…opinions or experiences are appreciated! Thanks guys!

Bates offers great abroad-study oppurtunities...that's a plus for Bates.
Others I don't know much about...I know that U of Rochester is good for pre-med...but you are not interested in that.

Yeah SS1987...U of R is a really good science and engineering school..regarded as one of the best small research universities..though ive heard their government and international relations programs are really good...

But still dont know. Bates does have really good study abroad programs, but ill only do that (if i go there) if i cud afford it.

Any other comments, suggestions..anything guyz...?

Because you don't seem firmly grounded in what you want to do, I would lean towards Bates. An LAC lets you explore all your options, while a larger university inhibits that. Bates doesn't have business, but it has everything else.

As for study abroad, at most colleges it doesn't cost any more than your normal tuition at home in the US. One of my best friends is in Italy for the year, and it was actually cheaper for him to go there than to stay on campus!

Hmm....thanks a lot for that reply kc_lady!!! appreciate it!

Well ppl are telling me different things..education wise I myself would say Bates is # 1 in my list..but at the same time...other things like weather, location etc dont appeal to me....Im still deciding though..so lets see...
