Rochester

I’m working on the online application for the University of Rochester, and I’ve run into a slight problem. In the area where one must submit SAT-I scores, there are only blanks for “Verbal” and “Math.” Given the new scoring format, how should I fill this out? Should I add my Critical Reading and Writing scores together and call it a Verbal score, or should I only count one of the sections as a Verbal section?

Help would be appreciated, as I’d rather not screw this up. Thanks!

Critical Reading = Verbal

I guess they aren't looking at the new Writing score

I dont think they've updated the application , have they? I'd think they would have thought about that and the new SATs if they were truly updated. I remember they changed essays half way last year, like i applied hella early and they had these essay questions (i'm assuming from last year) and then i checked back in a couple weeks and they had some changes in the essay, weird.

Hey guys. It really is early in the process. Most schools are still showing last years application. Many app's won't be available until July or August. And yes, the essay question can change. I would at least wait until the common app. comes out in July before you get serious about your essay as I am sure Common App. essays can be "recycled" for many different. schools. If you really must-- just look at some of the old essays. You are bound to get something to the effect of a "significant life experience" or accomplishment and how you were affected by it. Chill out-Enjoy the summer.

Yeah man, I wanted to get started now, but we really can't until the Common App comes out

You put in the Verbal... and the Math...

No thats all wrong; You put the lime in the coke..
