I have both of these highly recommended books (RR by the majority of CC'ers and Maximum SAT by Xiggy), and have so far read (most of) the math section of Rocket Review. It was immensely helpful to the point that I do not believe I will need another prep book.

Do you think it's worth while to read both Rocket Review and Maximum SAT's Writing and Critical Reading sections? If not, which book has the superior advice? I have plenty of time to prepare for the test, so reading both books thoroughly isn't exactly a problem, but I still don't really want to bother reading them if they're copies of one another.

Oh yea, one more question:

Maximum SAT, along with Grammatix, which I also have, reference the 2005 BB a lot. I already have the current version, but is it a necessity to buy the 2005 version to accompany the prep book which reference problems from it?

One thing that I do know is that RocketReview asks you to focus more on the questions than on the passage. I don't know if it taught this, but I think that it was implying to eliminate the answer choices to narrow it down because finding 4 wrong answers is easier than finding the right answer. When you do this, you don't pay as much attention to the passage, but with the passage, you want to try to read it quicker than you normally do.
