I keep hearing mixed things about RocketReview. People either say it's the best or worst book ever. I've also heard that the CD-ROM is totally useless. Finally, I can't tell if it has any practice tests or not. Is it just strategy, or is there more to it?

Amazon has a sale right now where you can get it and the blue book for $25.55 (USD), so I'm thinking of doing it. I just don't know if it's worth it.

lol you should!!! wow i wish i had that offer when i bought mine for 20 and then bought the blue book for another 20! haha, anyway, rocketreview is a book that teaches you a lot of shortcuts and techniques to help you score better. i like it personally because it really helps on the writing. my writing score has really improved (multiple choice and essay). aside from that, you have to get another book (preferrably blue book) to practice its other techniques like math and reading. it also really depends on the kind of person you are, i've read also one person loving it and another hating it. you should try it though, see if it works for you.

So no practice tests or useful content on the CD-ROM? That kinda stinks. Is it mostly just a writing book? Why do you need to rely on the blue book for math and reading?

I think I'll buy it, but I just want to make sure it's worth it.

I saw their math section while browsing at Barnes and nobles, it looked basic, ( I just browsed it,) will it really help some one who wants a 700+

the math and reading, the book gives you good techniques. but you should use the blue book to practice because even though you'll know great tips for how to solve a problem quickly or learn strategies, it's nothing if you can't practice it and apply it on the test day. the writing was basically what really improved for me when i used it. but it could be different for you, so you never. you should still try it so you don't miss out

Math is where I need the most help. I'm actually quite good with math, especially geometry (I love it), but it's been a while since I've used formal math on a regular basis.
