The new academy street residence hall opening this fall has been named Caesar Rodney Hall. So the Rodney name will remain. But I doubt it will assume the nickname of the old Rodney Complex-“The Rodjects”.
Proud to say my D was one of the last Rodjects. Even though she was pretty much living in a closet it was a great experience. I do not think there will ever be a dorm as social as Rodney was. She made a great friend who will probably be her roommate for the next 3 years. They were neighbors this year. we both had issues with the old Rodney when she was first placed there but it turned out to be an awesome year. Going to miss that 4th floor climb up the stairs (not!) hope the new Rodney residents love it half as much as she did! I told her she is now part of UD history as one of the last residents of The old Rodney!
Mwallenmd, you hooked me with your thread title. I was expecting to read a press release from UD stating that record enrollment is causing a delay in the retirement of the Rodjects. #:-S
