When did you apply? It’s pretty late so it’s just a matter of space, really. Your ACT score is a little low but your gpa might make up for it. I think you might be put into a branch campus, but it’s possible to get in at UP…although your SAT score should be good enough. Let’s just hope theres space.

low chance you’ll get in.

Penn state’s main focus are standardized test scores.
they do not care much about your high school gpa.
As a current freshman here at PSU, i easily got in within 3 weeks of applying. my SAT

score was a 1930 and I went to a top 20 high school in New Jersey with a class rank of 90/330 and a weighted gpa of 3.86

my girlfriend did not go to a very good high school. She was the valdictorian and had an SAT score similar to yours. she barely got in late February, about 4 months after she applied

If you applied recently its not good. The longer after the priority deadlinebthe less of a chance you have.

And just to point out erb is completely wrong. It is stated on their website that academic GPA constitutes about 2/3 of the decision process and SATs, sports and everything else make up the remaining 1/3.

Yeah, the gpa is what counts the most according to their website. But your gpa is fine for PSU.
