What are some rolling admission schools that your able to apply to after March 10th? If I don't get into any of my top 3/4 choices I may want to look at other schools... Any rolling admissions schools that have hockey for girls?
Thanks! :D

Try Loomis Chaffee

If you need to look at additional schools after 3/10, start with a phone call to the girls’ hockey coach, NOT admissions. Admissions may give the standard “we’re full” answer, whereas the coach may have a bit of influence. Also, do not limit yourself to rolling admission schools. Call any school that you are considering. (Can I throw in a plug for Proctor? Great girls’ hockey program)

This is what we did for my son (lax player) who didn’t even apply until April. It opened otherwise closed doors.

Good luck.

Thanks zuzu and prepmom!
I already am applying to loomis and will deffinetly look at proctor if I don’t get into my top 3/4 choices

@Yankee, I got that Loomis news letter today and started to worry when I read they had 1600 applicants this year. Do you know how many freshmen they admit?
Keep your fingers crossed, I still think you have a good chance.

I got that too, Maddog, and had the same reaction. I think last year was a record for them at around 1450. Their acceptance rate dropped a lot last year and will be even lower this year.

I wouldn’t worry, more applicants does not mean better applicants!

Maddog: I know I was shocked when they said 1600 applicants and I was reading another Pelican Pulse that said they dropped from a 35 to a 29 percent acceptance rate last year with a record high… But they also said they were looking to enroll more applicants

I think you are right, Yankeefan, if you’re a boarder. I think the overall # will stay the same, but the %boarders is going up and %day down.

Yes, I can see the world coming to an end high up from where I’m in the Constellation Orion! The Sun is moving towards the earth, Jupiter is racing towards the Sun. Exie, I know you agree with my posts more often than you admit! ha ha ha :D

We all do, pulsar. ;)
