Rolling Admission

Hi guys, can you suggest me some good schools have rolling admission? I can contribute about 40% to 45%. My intention is tier 2 schools. I have searched so far and found these schools: Cranbrook, Putney, Masters school, Darlington, Kents Hill, Darrow.
If anyone knows something about one of these schools, please let me know. (Especially whether their fund is available for international students.)
Thank you.

Hmmm…the only school I know of is Kent Hills, but even then I don’t know much about it…

Another great tier 2 school on rolling admissions is Kent School. I intend on retracting my acceptance so I hope that helps!

Thanks askieeves

NMH has rolling admission

Thanks Penguins. I have asked NMH. They have rolling admission but no longer fund is available.

I believe the Peddie School (in New Jersey) is based on rolling admissions too…

I think Berkshire does special-case rolling admissions. You could check them out as well.

If Berkshire school does do rolling admission, what would be considered “special case”?

Berkshire does have rolling admission, not special cases only, problem is if you need FA. I am not sure there is any left due to the unusual circumstances of this years application.

I would check with Darlington. We are still getting info from them. Also, look at Baylor in Tenn.

Have your parents call and explain that you need about half financial aid.

you might check out vermont academy

Any school on that list that has a fair amount of FA still left over. We’re really low income in comparison the majority of the BS community.

This late in the game, the issue is not your personel situation: “We’re really low income in comparison.” The issue is how much FA money is left in the pot.

^ I realize that. That is why I’m asking.

It was my “nice” way of asking which schools still have a fair amount of FA left over that would be ideal for a low income family.

I heard V.A. does not have any FA left.

Hello everyone! I attend Berkshire School currently and I can give you the basic idea of our Rolling Admission Policy.

When my sister applied off to boarding schools during her eighth grade year, she got waitlisted every where at schools like Hotchkiss and Deerfield. Because she had no intent at staying at Indian Mountain School for her ninth grade year, my parents and her decided to speak with the head master about possibly applying and attending. She toured in May and then attended the next year.

Two years later, I entered my application in the regular pool and got admitted at Berkshire as well as Taft. Berkshire is a great school because one can make it what they want, whether its an athletic school like Salisbury, an academic school like Exeter, or an artsy school like Loomis.

Because my advisor the Assistant Director of Admission, I sometimes am able to hear much about what the office is doing, as for SSATs, acceptance rates, and Rolling Admission. Berkshire’s policy is to give students that did not get accepted at many schools a chance to try themselves at Berkshire. This process is only for all of those that are qualified and meet all of the credentials to be accepted in the regular pool. While there is not much demand for this, every year a few students apply late and get accepted.

My hope is that you will consider applying late to Berkshire. If you plan on doing so, you must get your application in soon! I wish you luck.
