I plan on applying to Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, among others. My question is, will applying by October 15th help? Or will it be too late, even though it's only a month after accepting applications?
I didn't do well on my ACTs (try 26 =/) but my GPA (rigorous course load) and recs/ecs are great. I would really like to take advantage of applying asap and was wondering if I still have that advantage.

I'm also in similar situation. Can someone clear this for us? Thank you.

Let's bump this!

U-mich has a new early response, which if you apply before October 31st, they will give you their decision by Dec. 21. Applying by Oct. 15th will definitely help.

This might help you. Read the paragraph beginning with "MYTH: It pays to apply early."

thanks for the information
i figured some other people were in a similar situation as well

as for the u of m, the began reviewing apps on the fifteenth and from this point on out you ought to get a response within a month of sending your application in. since they fill spots and become slightly more selective as they go, i do think it's in your best interest to apply early to the u of m.
