So I sent in my application to University Park yesterday(Sent transcripts, SATs, and my online application). Since Penn State is rolling, what do you think the ETA for a decision will be?

Thanks guys

Wow you are late. Yes, they do have rolling admissions but the best chance for admissions was to apply by November 30th. What are your stats and did you apply with an alternate campus or check the summer option? Also, on your account, what does your current status say?

If you just sent it in now, I wouldn’t hold my breath. Applications are way up this year. If your numbers are
fantastic you might have a chance - If I had to guess they will wait a while to see what what their yield is like before making many more acceptances.

Okay, I must say, everyone on here is bugging me so, so much. OP, look at the bubble chart, if you’re in the blue, you should be fine. Everyone one here freaked me the freak out too, so I obsessed into looking into it, and THEY HAVE ROLLING ADMISSIONS. Everyone on here acts as if they don’t! Applying before Nov. 30th helps you greatly if you fall into the yellow category of the bubble chart. Applying after nov30 hurts if you fall in the yellow. If you fall in the blue, you’re 95% probably gonna be okay unless you apply SUPER LATE (&unless your OOS). Sorry. Rant. Anyway, you won’t hear back for a while, probably not for a month or so.

Edit:typo

Haha yah, it is more of a backup though. I did the UP all four years option with a second choice campus.

Applied to Smeal business school for management

Ive gotten into Wisconsin/Colorado so far, just wanted an option a little closer to home.

Rolling admissions means they stop when they are full. Applications are at record levels and 95%+ of all applicants have applied weeks ago. It is unlikely they haven’t reached capacity, bubble chart or no bubble chart.

I should point out that if you go on a prospective student tour, they will point out to you geographic preference doesn’t play into their admission decision (IE - instate students are given no more preference than out of state students) So applying late OOS/In State means nothing.

Yes, but the deadline for admissions is Jan 31. After that, then psu specifies that your chances of getting in drop dramatically. OP has good stats, but because he applied after Jan 31st, he chances decrease. But not to levels of impossibility. OP: don’t be surprised if you get accepted, but also son’t be surprised if you get rejected.
