Rolling admissions question

From what I understand , the earlier you apply the better shot you have at getting in?

My stats are
3.45 UW
1940 superscored sat
710 math. 620 reading. 610 writing.
29 act

I heard penn state doesn't care for extracurriculars , but correct me if I'm wrong!!!

So my question is am I better of waiting to see what I get on my next sat and act, or sending what I have right now ? Thanks !!

I believe that as long as you get your application in before November 30th you are good. My daughter sent hers 9/1 thinking that it would be considered earlier, but we later found out that only a very few get notified before January regardless of when they apply prior to November 30th. If you have super high stats, or super low stats, you might hear right away…but you seem to be right where my daughter is which is the middle 50% and they generally don’t hear until January. Prior to Nov. 30th is priority application. So I would just make sure to get it in before then. Our daughters guidance counselor suggested to get it as early as possible, but I’m not exactly sure why.
Keep in mind PSU does not superscore, so your best sitting will be used.
Extracurricular activities and essays are not necessarily discounted, especially if you are on the border.
