Should I bother still applying to the University of Michigan? Their deadline is Feb 1, but it's Rolling Admissions so I guess technically my application would be late. I can probably get the application done and sent about 3 weeks before that deadline though. It is a match school OOS for me and I heard that they care a lot about getting applications sent early. Would it hurt my chances if I sent them an application just a few weeks before that deadline?

It would hurt your chance because they make the decision of the applicant when they receive the full appliction, which means that the slots are full for some of the majors or schools you want to go into.

You should still apply though unless its a popular or hard school to get into.

thanks, any other opinions?

Yeah, I have the same problem. I'm applying to Michigan since it's a match OOS.
I'll probably only get around to sending my app next week at the earliest. My guess is that if your GPA/SATs are outstanding compared to the university average and you're applying to an un-impacted major/department it shouldn't matter.
