I applied to CALS Regular. Anyone hear from these places yet, since I know they randomly start sending acceptance letters around Feb. 15th.

How many people applied to CALS this year? Anyone know? I know that 28,000+ applied to Cornell this year. Up 4000 from last year

not yet, but last year was around feb 18th

note that many if not most people don't get their decisions until late in the rolling period.

I just found out that I got into Cornell (CALS) for biological engineering! I was surprised by how early it came. Just to warn any potential acceptees, it came in a small envelope, they said in the letter that I will receive a big envelope with all the financial aid, dining application, and housing application in early april. Good luck to everyone and see you at Cornell days.

wasn't your decision online? Where are you from? When was your application complete?

NDB, where are you located? Did they send you an email as well?

Congratulations NDB11! I hope this is the beginning of a lot of good news for you regarding your other college choices. Of course, being an alumnus, I am partial to Cornell! The program you were accepted into is fantastic! Once again, a hearty congrats!

NDB11, when was your app. complete?

Gratz, NDB11!

NDB11 - are you planning to enroll?

Congratulations on your tremendous accomplishment.

I applied to CALS using the common app on 1/1/06 (I know really late, just a half an hour before the deadline). I did not receive an email, the decision came in the mail. I am not sure if it would have been online. I can't remember getting a pin number in the mail so I couldn't check/find out. I am not sure if I will enroll, but am seriously considering it. I am a resident of upstate New York (Rochester), and the tuition will be a lot cheaper than some of the other schools I applied to. Thanks for all of your congratulations and good luck to all the applicants!

thanks!!!!!!

When will the "big batch" go out for CALS? Anyone know?

congrats! see you in the fall

What about ILR, what time does it usually start sending out decisions?

I applied to the Hotel school for regular decision, but had not heard anything about notifications being on a rolling basis. Is this true? When do most people begin to hear?

IvyLeague99- There hasn't been a "big batch" in the 2 years that I have been following these boards. It's more like a trickle. My d is soph in ILR- so I have already been through 2 cycles of "rolling" admissions. If this year is like the last 2- MOST of you will not hear until late March/April 1. ILR did hear on or about 2/18 and I think CALS did too. But as we are into the week-end already, you guys may not hear until a few days later. And in the past, it seemed first notificaTION WAS ON-LINE WITH A FOLLOW-UP ACCEPTANCE LETTER (SMALL ENVELOpe (ooops-Cap Lock) a few days later. Try not to dwell on it- You'll hear from Cornell-when you hear from Cornell. And to you kids who have vacation next week (yeah!!) have a great time. Good luck to all-- Marny
And Kevin- Hotel is rolling too-but remember most of you will not get your acceptance letters until April even with rolling admission.

Do they send you an email stating that they've reached a decision, or you just have to sign in yourself and are randomly surprised with a quaint "Congrats" or "We're sorry to..."
