Why I think I was selected/rejected: Research experience, sheer luck

Other thoughts: I randomly clicked on the 'check decision' without expecting something to actually show up and I'm still kind of shocked that something did. It's such a relief to finally get into college (deferred from Yale EA and this is my first ever acceptance, plus I love this school). Congrats to everyone else who got in and good luck to people who are still waiting!!!

@bman: I'm not totally sure. First of all, I'm skeptical of my chances at Yale and at similarly selective schools that I applied to (pretty much HPS). I certainly haven't received any of the likely letters that CCer's are buzzing about. But I guess that even if I got in to one or more of those schools, I'd still lean toward Cornell. It's an awesome school with a beautiful campus, it's cheaper because I'm an NY resident attending CALS, and it's conveniently close to home- so why not?

How does the rolling admissions work for those who were deferred from Early Decision?
I applied ED for Hotel Management and got deferred
So I sent in a letter updating them on all the internships I have taken since I applied. (one in ticketing company, one in hotel)
Wouldn't those who applied ED and got deferred get priority or is it the other way around where those who got deferred are first compared with RD applicants?
I'm really anxious....and scared ****less

Does that mean it's easier to get into CALS and other rolling schools if you are a NY resident? I know there is a higher percentage of NYers applying to those schools 'cause of the cheap tuition, but does being a NY resident favor your chances?

waternam... i'm thinking that all the RD apps will be reviewed before the deferred ED apps, because that was the whole point of referring anyway, to review in context with RD applicants. I have a friend in the same boat.

His Decision link wasn't available until Saturday, so I imagine the decision was made available on Friday but for some reason not clickable until Saturday morning. Grow up, Thanks.
