Rolling Decisions for CALS, ILR, and Hotel

Has anyone been rejected from ILR yet? I'm only asking this because I only see accepted people here and there's a slight worry creeping in that they are saving all the rejections for later. I'm still pretty sure still the release date of decisions are dependent on when the admissions committee reads and gets a chance to vote on the application but seeing so many people get the nod already is definitely a little unsettling, especially when you're unsure of your own fate.

Emailed Cornell Yesterday about rolling admissions! This is the response I got back:

"Thank you for your e-mail. The College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences does act on a rolling decision process. This means that
some decisions are slowly going out and will continue to do so until
March 29th. All decisions will be out by March 29th and you will be
able to view decisions online and you will receive a letter in the
mail. Thank you.

Sincerely,

CALS Admissions"

This really sucks I wanted to know earlier than the 29th!

has anyone been rejected/accepted from CAS (regular decision)?

I too haven't seen anyone here rejected from ILR yet... this is making me a bit nervous.

keep in mind that most people on CC get accepted anyway. look at the ED thread...you'd think everyone got in...except you know 2/3 of the applicants didnt. just remember that you're on CC ;) Good luck to everyone!

Not necessarily true. Those who don't get in are often reluctant to post.

true...but still...CC applicants tend to be better overall than the general applicant pool.

I don't think I am :(

Do they usually save the rejects for last? I have yet to hear anything from Cornell. :(

wait you've got march 29 there and then someone else said march 15... i guess i'll call up and figure out whats going on, and i'll post here afterwards to let you guys know

The CC applicant pool for all colleges is skewed and biased towards those who are highly qualified and motivated. Colleges and universities are besieged with a huge wave of applications this year. This is partly due to the baby boomlet in numbers of applicants, but it is also fueled by the ease of on line applications (ie, Oh, I don't really have a shot at X university, but I'll just add it to my profile and pay the 70 bucks).

Good Luck!

Congrats theoneo!

^Lol

i just called up the admissions office and confirmed that the last of the CALS decisions will come out on MARCH 15. on a different note i understand that cc is very self selective with the ppl that post here, but i dont believe taht not one person got rejected on this entire board, i mean it was the same thing on the umich one, alot of ppl deferred but no one rejected

when will we receive financial package? (ilr)

'course after you got accepted.
don't worry about it...it will come soon, if you got accepted

So all acceptances will be out by the 15th? Will they also send out rejections on the 15th?

she says as far as CALS is concerned the decisions will be made and posted online between feb 15 and march 15, so i guess yes they send out rejections as well as acceptances

she said as far as CALS is concerned all decisions will be made and posted online between feb 15 and march 15. so i guess yes acceptances and rejections too
