Can anyone tell me what rolling decision is? Thanks.

Decisions are released by Cornell for CALS, Hotel School, and ILR (I'm pretty sure) as they are made. Unlike the other colleges where Cornell waits until a set date to release all of them.

For most "rolling decision" universities the above poster is correct. Decisions are made as the apps roll in. Most "rolling" universities don't offer an early decision plan.

Cornell's "rolling" (for the three colleges that use rolling admissions) is different. You have the option to apply using the binding ED plan. For the RD students in CALS, Hotel and ILR, decisions start to "roll" in mid-February. As Sparticus said, most people don't hear until April.
