So, I came upon UMichigan pretty late in my college search. And now with midterms coming I will have to submit the app close to the February 1st deadline (probably next week). Since it's rolling I know they accept first come first serve, which is getting me worried. I really didn't mean to procrastinate, and had I considered it sooner I would have had it done way earlier. Do I still have a shot?

Brief stats: GPA 94.5 SAT I: cr.m.w: 710.770.800 ACT: 33 (e.m.r.s: 34/35/32/32)
APs: current-BC Calc, Gov, Lit, Spanish
past APS: Bio (5), Lang (5), US (5), Euro (5), Macro/Microecon (4s)

I heard they’re doing it a bit differently so they’re accepting the very best people first, and for everyone else, it’s just like a normal regular decision deadline and you don’t have to worry about applying later. I haven’t researched it so I could be totally wrong though.

^Runi, get you “app” in gear and get it in You have a strong statistical chance if your school is considered by Mich to be rigorous. Students with very strong performance records can and have been offered speedy admission while the deferred pool wait – and in other cases, students with very strong performance records can wait until April to hear. So my advice is to simply get it in as quickly as possible and let the fates decide. That way, you’ll have no regrets.

NOTE: I would endeavor to get it in THIS week rather than look like someone who leaves things until the 11th hour – that speaks to a reduced interest in the school, or a difficulty organizing priorities.
