Rolling/late Applications?

So yes, I only applied to one school...So if I don't get in- I'm not goinnn noowhere.
Although, If I do not get in [I hate thinking so negatively, but the sooner the better] I have two schools in mind of applying late too. What are the chances of getting in with a late application? I would apply late annnd next year if I did not get in to either by the way.
So what are the chances?
Different chances for different schools?

of course there are different chances for different schools. What are the 2 schools? If they're not the ones that are ultra competitive, you may still have a great shot in getting in. Do they have rolling admissions?

Emma Willard and Berkshire School

Hey! I'm applying to Emma! umm I would say to wait until after march 10 then call emma and ask if there are any open spaces. if yes you know what do do :D

Ok thanks!
annnd, would I end up going in my freshman year?

Anybody know about Berkshire? or What Rolling chances are?

For Berkshire, it says on its site that there are may be a few spots left after the april 10th registration day but the spaces are very limited.

okay, thanks=]

has anyone else done rolling applications? Know anyone who has?

I don't know that waiting until after March 10 gets you anywhere. I would call before March 10, as in ASAP, if you are interested. Since the deadline to let the schools know whether you are accepting offers of admission is not until something in the first week of April, March 10 has no real applicability in terms of the school knowing anything about how many spaces they will have open. However, if you look fantastic to them before March 10, who knows? Maybe you can squeeze an offer before they extend all their other offers?

We did not do rolling admissions so whatever I've learned/heard has been on this website. In general, schools do not like to be thought of as rolling admissions schools. When you call them, you might ask if there is any chance that they might take a late application, etc. I would not call them and say something like "I heard you were a rolling admissions school." Following MomtoanUndecided's suggestion, I would call tomorrow. This way, you will have the application in hand and can start the process moving along. It will be hard to contact many Admissions offices during the 3-week March break. These were my thoughts on a similar question http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-admissions/465106-there-schools-still-accepting-applications.html Most of the schools I suggested on this link were not on the scca list, but I've heard of some late applications on this site or elsewhere.

If my memory is correct, Emma Willard was on the scca list last year. You have already verified that Berkshire might have a few openings, and I doubt that they would put this info on their website unless they know that this has been the case historically.

okay, thanks.

Masters School is accepting late applications, but they're not offering FA.

I think most of the schools consider late apps, but you should apply before they make their decisions. I sent in all my apps mid February, and almost all the schools I applied to (AEDHC) will give me 3/10 decisions. I know Exeter reviews a second round of apps after they mail their 3/10 acceptances, but idk how high the chances are.
