rolling rejection?

If you're waiting to hear back from a specific college at Cornell that does rolling admissions (like Hotel, CALS, ILR) and you get the letter before March 30th this year would that mean it is an acceptance?

Do they send early rejection letters or would those all be coming on March 30th? (the ivy deadline this year)

If you do get one open it and you’ll know

do they though?

As far as I understand (through this website and speaking with Cornell admissions), no. You could get an acceptance any time between now and March 30th (general release date–posted online).

Do you guys think acceptances will be sent soon?

From what I understand, all rejections, regardless of school, come at the same time.

Also, many acceptances, even at the rolling schools, come on March 30 as well, so bear that in mind if you don’t get a letter.

Thus, I would suspect that any letter you get from Cornell before March 30th or around that time is a good sign; however, this evidence is anecdotal, since very little information about the rolling programs is published officially.

@MJG678, generally rolling acceptances are sent between Late Feb and early March, but just because they are beginning to be sent doesn’t mean that you will get one. The majority still come out on the common notification date.
