Hey, I was wondering if they go about doing the rolling schools by high school? Because I'm hearing on here tons of people heard already, but I haven't heard of anyone hearing anything from CALS RD yet from my own high school. Is this good news, that there's still hope for me?

flippydippy-

What major did you apply to? I'm in the same boat as you are. I know I should think this but all I can think of is how they are daily filling spots, regardless of any rhyme or eason they are, and that means decreased chance of me getting in...

Come join us at the "Waiting Room" thread!

-WJJ

It certainly isn't good news that we haven't heard yet. sigh

I applied to Animal Sciences in CALS... But does anybody know if they look through piles based on high school?

I'm a transfer applicant and I'm looking at the status page. Do you guys have the message:
Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application. Please continue to check this site for decision information. Thank you!

I did not see that until today. I asked this in the transfer forum, but I'm just wondering if you guys see that as well and whether or not that is an indication that a decision is near?

Oh yeh, I'm applying to Human Ecology, which is rolling for transfer.

They don't put you in a pile based on your school. Applications are all read individually. They may not have gotten to yours yet or they're holding off on making a decision.

I also sent my app in fairly early, like in October/November... and my interview was around then as well. Very early... does that mean they've probably looked at mine already but are holding off? :

I think you're reading into it too much. Just be patient, it's almost April.

:P that's me, for ya, reading into everything, overanalyzing, etc. I guess it's my way of making myself feel better! Heheh...

Good luck btw!

You too of course !

I read that you didn't get into Tufts ED? I was ridiculously close to applying early. I love the school. You would prefer Cornell to Tufts?

Yes, after being deferred I realized Cornell definitely should have been my ED... although I'm not absolutely CRAZY about the school like I am with Tufts, it would provide me with many great things for the future. It's the only school I know of with the Animal Sciences major (and I plan on going to vet school), and I'm from NY, so CALS is about half the price of every other university. Plus, a few of my great friends are already in :) So I'm crossing my fingers!

I was deferred ed and haven't heard anything either...does anyone know if its normal for deferred people to not find out until the end? or am I pretty much rejected at this point..ahh

I don't know of any other deferrees that have heard yet.

Is there a deadline that Ag has to let us know by?

nvm

from cornell.admissions.edu/:
Admissions decisions to applicants Agriculture and life sciences; hotel; industrial and labor relations: rolling from February 15 through early April.

no one's heard from rolling schools in a bit....do you think they'll send out more decisions before the April 1st deadline or are they just saving it all for then?

I think there will be on more big day, March 20ish I believe.

I applied to the Hotel School and I haven't heard yet. I'm flipping out... I'm assuming the worst!
