Rolling TAG Acceptance?

Hello,

If I submit my TAG later in September, like the 15th will I have to worry about other TAG applicants filling up the school before I can get in (Like rolling acceptance) or is there no such thing. Just asking because I thought UCLA had something like this going on with their guarantee program.

I want to wait because I want the opinion of a counselor when deciding to tag UCI or UCSB. (Maybe someone here can help me a bit. Which school has better housing, under grand research, and would more likely be recognized by an east coast grad school for psychology)

Thanks

hopefully its not rolling because I was also going to ask my counselor before submitting it and that might take a week or two.

my counselors lagging to, I’m asking ms.sun how much to review mine.

@OP: you mean others filling up all the spots? Lol, nah, that’s not going to happen. You can file your TAG on September 30 if you want… But quite frankly, try to do it 4-5 days earlier than the deadline, since you don’t want to wait 'till the last minute and see the server crash, lol

And don’t ask your counselor… they will just ask you back, “what is your major”, “where do you prefer to live”, “if you could choose one then what would you choose”, etc. You are the one who go to school, not he/she/them. Both are good schools, so you can’t go wrong with TAGging to one and apply normally to the other. I’d say TAG with Irvine, and apply to SB as normal applicant…

Why tag Irvine and not SB? Is SB easy to get into?

The UC system is actually quite lazy. They probably won’t even start looking at TAG application until a week before they release decisions. No way do you have to worry about them looking at the early apps before yours. Even if they did the process states that if you are qualified for TAG, you will be approved, so no worries as long as you’re qualified.

p.s. my tag for UC Davis last year was denied because I was missing a single communications class… and I’m an engineering major. Take alot of time preparing your planned schedule for the school you’re TAG-ing to, don’t miss anything.

@OP: just my two cents lol. I have a feeling that Irvine is getting harder to be accepted, it’s like UCLA’s cousin now so that’s why I suggest you TAG to it. No personal preference lol

Sparkboy, yeah I herd that too, and I think it is true but I just keep thinking that UCSB is just a more recognizable name (for applying for grad schools). BTW: Have you seen some of SB parties, the craziest I’ve ever seen and I think I might want in on some of that. Either way I have both TAGs completed so hopefully nothing happens to me like it did Anacondrea (that would suck).

^ are they safe?

PS, how are the girls?

I’m trying to TAG to UCSB. The TAG program is NOT first come first serve basis. They go through every single applicants from September 1 - 30.

CUkittychen,

The parties? No, they are not safe but that’s what makes a good party. As for the girls, I think the university was rated as being one of the hottest in the US, just make sure to use a rubber when sleeping around because most colleges have high STD levels (and I think SB is differently not an exception).

Some UCs require community college counselor review, but that is typically done on the back-end (after submission). I typically recommend students to TAG with a UC campus that does pre-evaluation because you receive a reply by November 15 whether the TAG is approved.
