<p>I know Rollins has gone SAT optional for this fall--is anyone going for this option? My SAT scores are borderline--above the 50% on M but below in CR (according to CB) and a super W score with a 12 essay (but I don't know if they even look at that). My GPA is in the top 25-30% for Rolllins. At what point should you try SAT optional do you think?</p>
<p>Based on your name, I'm guessing that you're male. Rollins like most LACs has difficulty attracting males. I think you should submit your scores. That 12 essay will help you since Rollins is a very writing-intensive college.</p>
<p>Also, to get merit aid, you have to submit scores. For all you know, your 12 essay combined with being male might help you get merit aid.</p>
<p>thanks for your input, I feel better....after getting in (which is what I really want), I could definitely use some merit aid...and yes, I am a guy. For some reason I just really suck at CR but all my teachers have always said I'm a good writer. So I'm hoping that might catch the eye of some of the people on the committee.</p>
