Romanian thread

Hi nt, which Romanian businessmen are you talking about?

Hi Sophia, I'm going to have my interview on June 22nd. How about you?

The ones which had a major trial recently....they're suing the government for false accusations or something like that.

Oh, you're talking about Rompetrol. Well, yes, the case is kinda sorted out - that is the businessmen are still pressing charges against the Government. What is really strange in this case is that one of the business-men is a member of one of the ruling parties.

i'll go on 11th july (2 days after my bac exam)

nt
pretty much everybody with a mobile phone and a pair of decent pants calls himself a businessman in romania.. ;)
perhaps you could be more precise.. who do you mean?

ROFLMAO, Stauch :D

I think he was talking about the arrest of Dinu Patriciu a few weeks ago.

I'm a she! :)

Oh, sorry nt, I actually translated on the spot from Romanian, where we usually use he for the he/she thing.

No problem! It's kind of hard to discern anything from "nt". :p

hmm...seems like this forum hasn't been used for some time... still wondering... any other Romaninans applying this year on CC?

meeeeee :)

well hi there!, where are you from?....as you might've noticed I'm from cugir(AB).it's realy nice seeing someone new around here(or not that new considering your joining date :p ). anyway, where are you applying? have you finished your application forms? I still have sooooo many things to do, plus I've written my essay but I keep asking people for their opinions and each time I change something about it, and then I reread it and I don't like it, and I start all over and so on.
this is.... :)

Hi there !
I live in Timisoara! I still have a list of 142 schools, I have to cut down somehow to around 30 schools! My applications are nowhere yet and I am also struggling with the essays!Did you take the physics exam now?Could you tellme how u found it? Which book seems more acurate ?I have finished PR and K and now I am reading sparknotes.I want an 800 !!!:D

hmm....well....I'm not that good at physics.....I mean...I really like some stuff.....like thermodynamics for example.... but magnetism was awful!!! but then again, if you've done those 2 books and you get an 800 I think you can manage on the real test too. I've prepared from PR and Barron's, the last being much harder(than PR AND the real test). so, it's not that difficult for someone who has taken his time to prepare.(unfortunately, I wasn't that person :p)
wow....you really have a loooooong list. I haven't though about mine very much. I'm so into the univ I'm applying ED that I almost can't concentrate on anything else. anyway, aren't you applying ED?(good luck with your physics prep....I'm also retaking my Sat in nov....unfortunately, I couldn't register for Bucharest, so I'll take it in Arad, what about you?)

Lakshmi, I am not applying ED because I dont have all my SATs yet.I am going in Nov for Physics,Bio and Math 2 C and in Dec for SAT 1.
I agree magnetism is awful !!!! That was the only chapter I didn't like!!
I wish all the luck with the ED school !! when are you going to find out the decision??

and hey I am taking in Arad also !!:D

thanks!!! (I wish myself luck too :p ). The results will be up by mid december. although I really wanna get in(I'm totally in love with the school) I'm realistic and I think will most probably get deffered. this is...
anyways good luck to you too, and I ask you again, where are you taking your nov sat?

If you find out the decision only in mid Dec this means you have to apply to other schools also, right?

kinda...yes...or at least prepare my apps and send them when I find out the result....something like this.

hi
I'm also from Timisoara, but I left Romania in August, for Louisiana.
I saw your 142 nr.
Don't apply to any college from Louisiana, or other state affected by hurricanes. They really don't have too much money for scholarships.
Where do you study?
