Hi,
I’m new to this thread (and CC) but I’m also a semifinalist. I’ve read that in past years, Mike Mallory, the president and CEO of the Ron Brown Scholars Program, has called semifinalists for an informal phone interview. Has anyone gotten a call yet?
Wishing you all the best of luck!
I haven’t gotten that call yet (At least I hope I didn’t), but I did get my semifinalist materials in. I guess I have to start answering Best of luck to any other semifinalist!
I did not receive a call from the CEO; but, I did receive a notice via email today. It is official, I am a finalist. Wishing each of you the best moving forward and hope to see you soon in DC. Feeling very blessed and humbled by this unique opportunity.
Ignore last post, the notice is for a Skype Interview; but, I am still very encouraged and excited.
Anyone heard anything yet?
No, I had a google chat interview this past weekend. Other than the interview I have not heard anything.
Calls are going out!
I got my call yesterday: heading to DC in a couple of weeks! Anyone else hear back? According a past comment, there are supposed to be 28ish people who go to DC competing for 26 slots… if anyone can confirm those numbers, that’d be great!
Did people contacted as finalist receive an interview via Google chats? BTW congratulations!!!
@brennan0111 I think it’s 26 for 21 or 20 spots. See you in DC!! Someone told me that top 40 received interviews. @Scholar2021
I thought the skype call wasn’t an interview? But anyway, CONGRATS TO ALL THE FINALISTS!!
Congrats to the finalist! A little disappointed I wasn’t named a finalist, but at least I got invited to the Captains program.
Jay37p-Did you receive an email notifying you were not a finalist with the option of joining the Captain’s club?
@Jay37p Excuse my vernacular - it was just something I heard anyways, it might have no bearing
You’re right,@LockAndKi, I got the email confirming those numbers this morning… See you there!!
