<p>it “has happened” that people don’t get their first choice of room, but there are lots of modern doubles (probably the most common assignment) so you do have a good shot. </p>
<p>Unless they try to “diversify” by putting people from different regions into different rooms, the questions probably are all they use (the process is supposed to be fairly random…). You could always to find a roommate on your own if you wanted to, though. CC, the facebook WashU '14 group, or maybe reslife’s roommate-finder would work for that. :)</p>
