Room and Board Fees for commuters?

<p>So I'm a commuter, and on the my.fordham.edu, "room and board" fees are listed: $2,628.</p>

<p>I'm going to call them soon, but does anyone know what these fees are for? If I'm a commuter, why do I have to pay Room and Board fees? What do they cover?</p>

<p>Shouldn't Room and Board fees for commuters be 0?</p>

<p>It might be for food. All freshman are required to have a meal plan I believe. It could also be for certain course fees or other general costs.</p>
