I just checked my "Student Information Online" and was surprised to see "New House Double" fee in the Aid/Account section. Along with that a whole list of other new items, all dated 29th June. So have they already made the room assignments? My "Now that I am enrolling" page still says "Housing Assignment Pending"!!

Mine says:
06-jun-2006 02-jul-2006 STANDARD HEALTH - SINGLE 870.00 0.00
27-jun-2006 02-jul-2006 STD DBLE MOREWOOD 2583.00 0.00

I get that this means I got Morewood, but what is the thing about single? I hope I got a double not a single, but I'm not sure what that means. Anyone have any idea?

wait, so, I got STD DBLE MOREWOOD .. does that mean morewood and not morewood e? morewood wasn't even one of my choices... i had morewood E, donner, and mudge...

Morewood must mean Morewood E because that is the one where freshmen live. Mine says the same and I also requested Morewood E and none of the other Morewood towers.

BTW, I applied ED so submitted the deposit early.

*I was totally JUST KIDDING. Morewood (regular) has only primes.. Morewood E has straitup standard rooms. So I couldn'tve been placed in Morewood... plus, what chocolateluvr said.

Yes, last year the dorm charges were posted over the course of about 2 weeks, and roommate assignments were sent in the mail after that. There is rarely any logic in the order that CMU completes things. (i.e. even if they haven't posted the dorm charge yet, you may get your first choice for housing) If you signed up for housing and you're an incoming freshman, you're guaranteed to have a place to live, even if it is temp house until rooms open up in university owned housing.
