ummm so i got a ratesaver? okay, great for me. i'm going to go cry and lay down on my giant room and kiss the ground because i'm only living in it for another 2 weeks. and my room is about the size of a double room.

Wait, so all of us who got "double" rooms and two roommates = ratesaver (which seems to be most of us)? So they WILL be giving us the extra $$$ back, right?

anyone, how do you know if you're in a themed house?! does it just say it or do you just assume? and how do you know what floor you're on? is it like A is the first floor, B is the second, C is the third, and so on?

lmao...we are supposed to be getting some letter soon...apparently there are 140 of these rooms in muir ALONE. and all of the colleges at ucsd are having to do it...

btw im talking about Muir dorms, specifically Tioga.

theme housing...didnt we get to fill out a yellow paper at orientation to apply for it? if it helps i didnt apply and am in house D. :)

im assuming that we should...it is a ratesaver, but is it your typical ratesaver? i thought "typical" ratesavers are rooms with three people haphazardly thrown in there to save them money...the lady on the phone said they are ordering new lofts and stuff to make it comfortable

well i called. i have "j' house and that's on the 9/10th floor, and my room specifically was designed to be a triple, so it's definitely bigger than a double. (mine says "triple" on the housing site). my suite faces the ocean!! :)

my room number is ti-J64. thats the sixth floor right?

tritonman, we might be on the same floor! the guy i spoke to on the phone said the number was just the number of the suite or something...my phone was fuzzy. but you're either on 9/10th floor...but i'm assuming you're a guy and the floors are gender-segregated so you're probably on 9th. :(

i got an apartment as well but didn't apply for one

ucsdhopeful, are u sure its the ninth? ppl have been telling me that the first number is the floor number

Hey, I'm in J-house also.

wow awesome. What does the J stand for though. Do we have a theme?

thanks hoboknifefight, I couldnt find anything describing the kitchen portion of the apartment. I guess Ill just bring a microwave and some dishes then.

I kinda still wish that I could be in the dorms just to meet people, but I think ill be fine.

So I got RateSaver and I'm confuuuuused.

So it tells me everyone in my apt/suite, which is SB-702 to SB-708. But it says I'm in 709? I'm the ONLY one. What the hell? And I know they can't shove me in any one of the other rooms because those rooms are already doubles-turned-triple. I'm by myself? I'm not by myself? Ehh

I jus called the muir res office. Im in j house and they say its on the tenth floor. OCEAN VIEW!!!!

ERC is up already even though they told us to wait saturday...
