<p>some people say they already got their room assignments... what happened to "housing assignments arent released until August 12th" lol well i aint get mine yet but now i relaly wana know</p>
<p>Not showing an assignment yet for DS. He’s out of state so the conjecture of it being OOS folks is not a given. Still shows August 12 for the announcement, and I know when we went to Orientation, the ResLife speaker said some folks will hear even later than that.</p>
<p>You are both right. It depends on where you log in - if you log in the logical way - by going to “Dept of Res Life” and clicking on link “Check Housing Status” you will not obtain your room assignments.</p>
<p>If, however, from “Dept of Res Life” homepage you click on “Hot Topics” and then under “Recent News” click on “Room Selection 2009”. Then under " Room Selection 2009" and “Room Selection Status” click on “log in to view your status”.</p>
<p>Once you log in, your contact info will be in the top right corner, but in the bottom left should be your room selection -complete with roommates names.</p>
<p>It does not have their email contact link as the other page will have, but at least you know where you are.</p>
<p>This has been up for some time - actually my daughter found her info at the actual site - it was up for a day in June and then it was deactivated again - computer glitch I’m sure.</p>

<p>I also was reading in there that even if you have a medical disability you will not be given a single, it is only given on seniority.</p>

<p>DS freaked out yesterday because his page changed to TBA, but this page is still the same. I think they are getting to start downloading for everyone.</p>

<p>I was on the room selection site earlier today and mine said TBA but now it won’t even let you get to this site. </p>
<p>I do enjoy watching them fiddle with their sites. I believe the same thing happened for admission, where some got the news earlier than they should have because of a less-than-seamless internet transition. </p>
<p>We’ll see, hope to get the assignment soon…</p>
<p>I just learned a new fact as I tried to see if I could get there, if they put you in a triple you get a 15% discount. So today I learned two new things.</p>
<p>Yep, Pima, that 15% discount is a nice consolation prize. D1 was in a triple in Denton freshman year, and a triple in her apt at the Language House (at least twice as much room as her Denton room, though)…it was nice to see a credit added to her account!</p>
