celebrian25, if you look at the floorplan, you are likely in a suite arrangement and will effectively have roommates but also the privacy of a single bedroom.

I'd think you'd have no trouble finding someone to swap if you really want.

Sorry for the double-post, but does anyone have an idea what the difference is supposed to be between a Quad layout and a Flat layout for the housing buildings? I did an overnight visit in Hitchcock, which was a Quad setup, but am now wondering what differences to expect in my assigned, which is a Flat setup--both have communal bathrooms...am I missing something?

WHOOHOO Taft 218. I GOT A TRIPLE. with my friends too

sysiphus--My daughter has been in both kinds of dorms...both the quad and flat setups. The flat setup has all of the rooms arranged in a box around the central bathrooms and stairs/elevator. The quad setup has 5? rooms arranged together down a short hall from the elevators/bathrooms and common areas. My daughter (a junior) felt that it was a little easier getting to know everyone on her floor when she was in the flat setup (because it was easier to wander around and meet people), but that may have been the difference between the personality of the floors (and freshmen vs. sophomores) instead of the general room layout.

I'm in Cutler 202! Single as well, but I wanted one.

How do the residential colleges differ?
Im Mistletoe----is this good, bad or doesnt matter

Raymond 312 (Juniper)

I was told there is no difference...they just try to stick you somewhere, and hopefully with someone you're compatible with

The whole Cedar is for these types of people is probably of little to no importance. Maybe they try to stick you with all of the artsy people, but most likely not.

im in smith 212
