<p>I'm currently in a triple in Marshall, and I have issues with my roommate. I have placed myself on the room change list for singles. Has anyone been able to obtain such a change before? Would this be mid-quarter? </p>

<p>one of my friend’s roommates moved out mid quarter but it was in 6th college.</p>

<p>I’m in one of the residence halls. I don’t think I could switch; I just put my name on a waiting list. I sort of want to know if it’s ever happened to anyone! :)</p>
<p>Honestly, singles are kind of hard to come by… most people don’t even get them when they apply for them when housing contracts are due. The only reason a single would be available would be if someone dropped out of school, or if by some rare chance, someone didn’t want it anymore. </p>
<p>Housing at UCSD is kind of scarce anyways, so you’ll be lucky if you can switch out.</p>
<p>One of my suitemates moved out immediately & into another triple because her mom had people check the room for levels of asbestos ;o</p>
