Room Configuration

I have a double in Bursley and have been looking at a housing website (UM Undergraduate Housing - Configurations for Building Block Furniture)
which states that most likely when we arrive, the beds will be in a Loft configuration because it supposedly is the most preferred set-up. I'm more of the "flop on the bed and study" student and am not sure if this is an ideal set-up for me. My particular room dimensions in Bursley is supposedly 11'x14'. Can anyone tell me if the single bed configuration will take up too much room? I'm not sure I want to climb up a ladder to get into bed, and also, if I wanted to watch T.V., how do you do that when up at that height?

Yes, the loft sucks, because it's so high up.. I'm not sure about the single config, but i'm thinking about it..

Single bed is going to fit in just fine. No problem.
