Room Consolidation

Anyone else getting screwed by the "consolidation" they are doing for returning students. I'm so mad about them not only possibly moving my room to another floor (when I specifically chose the floor I'm on because that's where my friends are), but about them waiting until a couple hours after the initial housing payment was due just to screw us over.

Where/how did you hear about this?

I just got an email about this. My roommate decided after we signed up that he wanted to live off campus to save money, which left me as the only person in the room. I don’t really care since I’m in the same building/room type, just a different floor.

Is there any way to check who my new roommate is or is it going to be someone from the lottery?

I was always under the impression that those were just preferences and that housing reserves the right to move you anywhere else on campus for any reason.
