room draw

tenney and hopkins (the other co-op, which is not as strictly vegetarian/vegan) are both awesome, but as yemaya said, have waitlists. however, if you get your name on the list early in your smith career, you're likely to get in. definitely something for smartgirl to consider once she arrives, since they're not open to firstyears.

Thanks for the advice Stacy; I'll pass it on to her. Hopkins sounds like a good choice for her as she isn't a strict vegetarian, but what she calls a flexitarian...she tries to stay vegetarian, but will eat meat if that is the only option (like when I am cooking!).

more room draw news...

d is among 15 who will be returning to chapin house as sophomores next year. out of this group, she and 9 others drew into single rooms...much delight expressed. her new room will be larger than her current double with a lookout view over the lake. d's roommate and suite partners also drew singles. they'll all be on the same floor as well.

My first love lived in Chapin! (she got thrown out of Smith for refusing to give up her Harley....It was a long, long time ago.)
