Room for improvement??

I got a 157 on my first PSAT, but a 184 on my 2nd PSAT. The only section I improved significantly on was math, 62----> 76. My reading went from a 44 to a 49. My writing went from a 51 to a 59. Then, I studied for the March make-up SAT on the 15th for at most 3 days. I concentrated 95percent of my time on writing because I felt that it was the easiest to raise. I haven't gotten my scores yet, but I hope it will come out tomorrow morning. I'm very sure I got somewhere from a 1950-2050 (around that range). My math is almost maxed out, my writing is rapidly improving. I'm guessing I will get a 700, more or less on writing, 760-790 on math, and omg, reading I really don't know. Probably a 540ish. Is there still room for improvement. I feel like the reading section is just so stubborn to me. Any tips on reading? Will it come naturally? I need the secrets! :)

Any advice will be gladly taken. Also, with a 3.0 GPA, 1950( If I get this score), math team president, and science club member, how good of a college could I get into?

For example, chances for:
BU
BC
UNH
UCONN
any other prestigious colleges

Is my GPA too low for BU? I know my SAT can go up, I just don't know how much. chances???

my improving of reading comes mostly from doing problems.
unlike writing and math... there really is no lesson to read on reading. do enough problems and you'll get a hang of it.

Having a fairly large vocabulary helps for both the sentence completion section as well as the actual reading comprehension. So, basically, build a fairly large vocabulary and then practice on the actual "mechanics" of reading comprehension.

You should see a significant score increase with that, methinks.

It would also be helpful to learn the word "methinks". Not only is it a freaking awesome word, but is also isn't used much! ;)

^lol. On the essay, "Methinks that during the Civil War..."

That's pretty cool. My word of the year: methinks. Methinks the collegeboard is a procrastinator. In the letter they sent me for the make-up, it said that I would get my scores today. On my account, it says, "please wait 7-10 days". !!!!!!!

I got a copy of the letter. It says, "Your makeup test scores will appear as March 1 SAT" or something to that effect -- meaning colleges will see that you took the test on March 1. I don't think it said anything about when the scores would be released.
