Room Notification

will this come by e-mail or regular mail?

snail.....

ahhh poop i'm on the road so i won't get it until the the 4th... will it give my roommate(s) my contact info so i can least know who they are?

yeah it gives full names, hometowns, and home phone numbers, and room assignments [who's sharing with who, etc.]

-katrina-

i already received my housing info yesterday in the mail.

hmmm how about e-mails? are those included in the housing thing?

BigRed, where are you?

No, they do not usually include emails. You actually have to call your roomie and say hello. :)

but if they give you their full name then you can probably look them up on facebook and contact them that way

bigred is from jersey (in his profile) im guessing its gonna take a bit longer for me to get mine in socal

matth... man i can't believe they make us talk to each other

thats crazy that the roomate info would get to someone in jersey before someone in the city

rofl

you know how snail mail works. they purposely try to **** people off, remember?

You can check your roomates online right now! Just log into NYU home and click on housing forms, then Fall 2005 Housing Status. It lists your roomate's name(s), number(s), and where they're from.

i cant get it.... when i click on housing forms it says "housing forms unavailable"

Yeah, same here. There were probably hundreds of people trying to find out at the same time and it crashed or something..... shrugs

I guess I just have to wait for the mailman to come in a few hours...

Just got mine today...(5-person suite; in the 3-person room) I hope the Brittany rooms are big...

I looked up everyone on facebook, and one girl has a different dorm on her profile...strange.

Brittany! Woot.

Did you originally sign up for a traditional or apartment style?

I'm pretty sure I put down traditional...not sure...
Do you know how Brittany is?

I spoke with a friend about it, and he says it's a pretty nice dorm. No A/C or dining hall, but the rooms are large compared to some of the others -- it used to be an old hotel. Oh, and there's this study lounge that was used as a speakeasy during the prohibition.

It's a few blocks from Wash Sq. but worth it (I hear...).

Yeah...the no AC part really sucks. This just might be a stupid question, but is the whole building not air-conditioned, or just the rooms?

I saw a picture of the study lounge on-line...looks pretty neat... :-)

The mailman just came! I'm in a 5-person suite as well, in the 2-person room.

Check this page out: http://www.livejournal.com/community/nyuhousing/3169.html

It has pictures of the suites and descriptions/additional info.

What's your e-mail address btw for facebook?
