Room Selection Times

Lottery Time: 4/28/2011 1:30:00 PM

I'm also in Warren College, if that makes a difference. What about you guys?

when did you get that info?
I am also in Warren

Ya where do u get the info?

UCSD mail
I am @ TMC - 4/28/2011 9:40 AM

wait this comes in the mail? what if i’m international, when did you guys get it?

Clarification: room selection lottery times are for CONTINUING students only who are going to be living in the sophomore apartments. Incoming freshmen need not worry! :)

This is for second year students only
UCSD email account

For freshmen - You dont have a choice to select it
Your dorms are given to you sometimes during the summer

Oh wow thats my mistake sorry haha

tmc, 28th 9:30AM

anyone know when the lottery times start on the 28th? the earliest time?

Are you guys allowed to look at current room availability? If not yet, then when you are, could you post the availability of single rooms periodically?

I’ll be an incoming transfer this fall and if there aren’t any available singles I’ll just live off campus.

Current students only know the availability of singles on the day they sign up for rooms. There will be singles on campus (they reserve them for first years in the dorms and for transfers in the transfer housing) at the end of it. None of us know or will know how many are available though

My time is 28th @ 10:40 am; my roommate’s is at 10:00 am. We plan to live together again next year, so how does that work? Since she has an earlier time, can she pick our apartment and “hold” a spot for me?

^
whether you both want a single or you plan on being together in a double, she can use your code when she logs in to put you in a room as well as herself.

at least that’s my understanding of it

Do the room sign up demo. It’ll basically show you how you register.

hey andrewl, I remember you lol. remember how we panicked because we didnt send in our financial aid information and we had send in an apology letter? LOL

i got the 9:30am time, ill be living at the new revelle apartments… YEEEE.  :D

Haha yeah, i remember you always updating that thread. Good luck with getting that :D

i was wondering something about housing next year
so my friend and i got singles in tmc apts, and some girl filled in half of the double.
how do they go about putting another person in the double to fill it?

do they put freshman in the empty spots?

On the housing website, it would show the empty/partially filled apartment so if someone clicks your apartment and chooses it, that’s basically how it’s done. If it was never filled, I’m not too sure then. I believe that on the 5th, people are allowed to cancel their apartment choice and choose another, so it might just be filled them.

You can go on the housing website and enter your PID+access code to see who you’re currently rooming with.
