Room vs Suite?

"Please note that suitemates appear in italic type, while roommates appear in stadard type."

Crap, I got "suitemates". I remember registering for housing, they let me choose rooms or suites and I'm not sure which is which or what I chose. Does anyone know the difference?

Yeah. A suite is basically like several dorm rooms connected by a common area, rather than the standard one door, one room on the other side dealio. So, your roommate will be the other person in your specific bed area, and your suitemates will be the people in the other rooms branching off of the common area. I always thought that it would be really cool to live in a suite, actually (more people to chill with that are all your "roommates", more or less), but people say suites can be less social than the standard dorm room, probably because your door doesn't open right to your room.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it if most of the people in your building are still freshmen.

better chances that you'll like one of your 7 suitemates than having just one roomate.
