Is Rutgers the only school to have not yet notified students of their dorm and roomate? At least D1 opted for a speciality dorm, so at least she knows where she will be.

At Caltech students don’t know where they’ll be or who their roommate is until about a week after they’ve arrived on campus. They rotate through the houses, rate the houses from first choice to last and then there is some process by which the houses choose who will live in which house and assign pre-frosh (a student is not considered a freshman until after rotation when the cannon is fired) a room and roommate on the last day of rotation.

Binghamton students just got them Friday afternoon.

Northwestern students got their dorm Friday afternoon and their roommate Saturday.

UW-Madison students find out by early June while their friends who go to U of Minn (tuition reciprocity so many go there) found out in August in recent years.

another thread mentioned that UC Berkeley still hasn’t heard and freshman show up next week

Stanford doesn’t tell kids until they arrive on campus for orientation just before school starts.

MIT. I still don’t know if I’m in a double or a triple, never mind who my roommate(s) shall be.
