<p>I started mine with a "Hello!" but I don't think I ever referred to my roommate or "you" during my final essay. However, during earlier tries, I did.</p>
<p>And as for reading yours, I'd love to try and be an English teacher :)</p>
<p>i never referred to the roommate at all. i didn't have space for a greeting either. it was more of a general story which a roommate and hopefully adcoms might find interesting.</p>
