<p>Well last year I was in a quad, and we were quite ethnically diverse. We had one white kid, one korean kid, one half black/half white kid, and one slightly hispanic kid. So we pretty much had every minority but native american covered and still had the token white guy.</p>

<p>just wondering, is Fletcher hall for oos only? I've met 15 or so kids in fletcher already, and not one is from MI. well, anyway, Fletcher 105 is where the party's gonna be this fall.</p>

<p>that's the room i was in last year. it's fairly big, you won't be disappointed. the door is screwed up though, and u might wanna clean off the mattress if ur sleeping in the bottom bunk...</p>
<p>Just so you guys know, the reason housing doesn't do one of those "questionnaires" is because studies have shown that people either lie on them, or they put down answers that change onces school starts. A lot of the time, students will do the answer form while their parents are around, so when it gets to the questions about smoking drinking having sex etc., something less than the truth gets put down.</p>
<p>Also, people might put that they are not morning people, and get put together. But then one kid has classes M-F that start at 9 am...suddently he's a morning person whether he likes it or not....There are hundreds of scenarios like that.</p>
<p>Also, housing doesn't have information about your race or in/out of state status, so they couldn't match you up if they wanted to. it is pretty much random.</p>

<p>it's not early. one more month! and you should find out and decide what you guys need to bring since you'll obviously have to buy stuff before you leave.</p>

<p>Considering how many people try to contact their roommates and don't reach them it is better to try earlier rather than later. Facebook seems to be a good way to go now, most freshmen don't get used to checking their @umich.edu mail regularly until they're already at school.</p>
