roomates

So i just applied for housing and i was wondering if any of the people from past years have gotten the roommates they requested? Is it possible or have you heard of anyone getting roomates that they requested?

bump(10char)

I only know of one case where they didn't get the roommates they requested

thanks grark, can anyone else confirm this?

Hey sonicboom,

I think you should check out the askhousing option at http://www.housing.ucla.edu

maybe they can give you estimates...?

I did not get what I wanted, but in the end it turned out to be the best thing that could ever happen.

One of my friends requested his cousin for roommate last fall and didn't get it.

u know wut seems kind of wierd to me(a conservative from a small town in TX)

why isn't sexual orientation a thing u hafta answer for roommates

i mean im cool w/ gays but i feel bad for the guy who has 2 gay roommates rooming goin at it whilst he huddles in the corner...

or the gay person whos rooming with 2 intolerent straight guys

...just because two homosexual people happen to be roommates, doesn't mean they're gonna fall for each other.
a more common problem is the roommate with the opposite-sex bf or gf taking over the room. maybe not "sexile" but definitely an uncomfortable presence xD

and i haven't met ANYONE here who's intolerant. and if they are, i'm sure they have the decency to keep their opinions to themselves. UCLA is a very accepting place!
i'm sure that if sexual orientation was an issue here, UCLA WOULD ask people about it.
there are DEFINITELY other questions i wish they'd ask. or at least, that people would give answers that are actually TRUE... ie not saying you don't drink when you DO... or that UCLA would actually match people better.
blah. /endrant

er anyone with answers about roomates...not sexual orientation tolenrance lol

id really like to gather more info about people getting the roomates that they requested.
