anyone out there like to give your input on which is better. living in a triple or a double?

I would go for a double all the way...

Something my mom taught me when I was little- "Groups of threes never please". It seems like someone always ends up getting left out. While you have a great opportunity to get to know two people at once, it wouldn't be fun at all if your two roommates became best friends and isolated you.

Also, triples always seem more complicated in terms of room set up. Most of the triples I've seen have someone just floating in the middle of the room while two people get their own corners...

The upside of a triple- it's cheaper.

Yeah unless you know everone (roomed with them or something) triples seem like they could be troublesome.

Fewer people = better. I would love to get a single, but I doubt that'll happen. I like socializing sometimes, but I need a space to retreat to afterwards.

on the otherhand, i saw some triple rooms that were HUGE! you might get lucky and have 2 new friends instead of 1.
