hi-
i was filling out the housing form and am kind of perplexed by the choice of # of roomates. what does a 2,3,4,5,6 person room entail?
im sure this question has been answered elsewhere, but ive been checking here and on prefrosh.net and i still havent found anything, so i'd really like some feedback.
thanks!

The specific number you choose doesn't matter much. Just figure out if you want a big suite or a small one. Very few people I know actually got put into the size suite they specifically requested. The college typically just uses it as a guideline.

ooo i'm jealous e.e

lol just kidding.. just trying to get a whiff of that special feeling...

i've always wondered how it would feel to be a harvard acceptee =D

!! which one's the house with the bunny??!

You're speaking of the Leverett bunny.

Which pales in comparison to the Pfoho polar bear, btw.

=o There's A Polar Bear?!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????!

I think most of the freshman dorms are quads, although I could be mistaken. I just put "3" on my housing form just to be safe.

Then there are the freshman dorms that are built to be quads, only they cram bunk beds into the tiniest singles you'll ever see and shove five people into the suite. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Harvard dorms vary widely. I know people who got singles (not within suites), and I know people in suites of six--and everything in between.

Or the Currier Tree :)

for the most part, harvard has the best undergrad housing i think i've ever seen, and i've visited quite a few other schools. basically, if your room is tiny, then you'll have a big common room and a bathroom. harvard gives its students a lot of space. if you end up with one of the smaller rooms, trust me, it'll only seem small by comparison to the absolutely gigantic rooms in grays or hollis. if you have friends visit from other schools though, they'll tell you that you're insane for complaining.

Or the Adams Oak Leaves!

The Quad is like the island on Lost. Polar bears roaming around. "Others" kidnapping children. Mysterious hatches.

FWIW, I requested 3 roommates and got 3 roommates.
