Hey I was wondering if any transfer students were looking for a roommate on-campus. I want to stay in the Wada apartments, but from talking to the housing officers today it seems really unlikely that I'll get one. But, I still wanna live on-campus and not with a frosh, so I was wondering if any other guys that were transferring to Cal were looking for a roommate.

Hey there, I just got an apartment if you are interested. It’s a two room apartment and I’ll be taking over the living room (make it a room). I have a friend from my local CC who also got into CAL, he will be taking one of the rooms. If you are interested in the other room, it’ll be $650 starting from July 1st, which I got for a pretty good deal with the landlord (usually others start from June 1st). Anyways, it’s REALLY close so it’s almost impossible the find such a room with that price especially you’re having your own room. It’s located on Benvenue which is right around the corner of college ave and dwight way. Let me know if you’re interested.
I thought WADA was reserved for transfers?

there are only 175 spots at Wada, I believe…

jhamp, are you going to be a freshman?

i would rather dorm with a freshman than a transfer due to my age. lol

I have not decided between Cal and UCLA yet, so I have not submitted my housing application yet. What happens if I don’t get the Wada apartments? I really do not want to live off-campus the first semester.

Cal website states that transfer students are GUARANTEED housing for the first year.
