<p>so i'm a transfer and i got off the waitlist and into housing like two weeks ago. my school only gave me my roommate's address and email address and phone number. So i tried looking on facebook but couldn't find her. so i texted her and haven't gotten a response back. could it be a landline? i'm moving in this weekend and still haven't communicated with my roommate at all, nor has she attempted to reach me. What can I do to make contact?</p>
<p>Try calling the school and have the school email her.</p>
<p>I would think it was weird if someone I didn’t know texted me.</p>
<p>Maybe she wants to finish enjoying the summer, maybe she’s on vacation, maybe she wants to meet you and not form preconceived notions through social networking. Just meet her in move in day.</p>
<p>Well considering they didn’t give me her email address I couldn’t do that, nor could I find her on facebook, which I would prefer to communicate through. I just introduced myself thru text like oh were roommates, how is that wierd?</p>
<p>Ask the school. Or you could just meet her when you meet her.</p>
